Amaranths are versatile, dicotyledonous plants with the potential for high yields. It has been extensively investigated as a model C4 plant. They have great photosynthetic performance result of eliminating rival photorespiration mechanism. This increases advantages expanding adaptation and cultivation amaranth in Ethiopia. The objectives current study were to estimate genetic diversity, heritability, advance yield yield-contributing traits genotypes based on agro-morphological traits. One hundred twenty evaluated over two years using an alpha lattice design replications. analysis variance indicated that mean square due year genotype-by-year interaction varied significantly most measured estimates variability, found this indicate incredible diversity strength selection response these population. findings showed very moderately moderate advance, variability was observed basal lateral branch length, axillary inflorescence leaf area, number, plant height at flowering, maturity, stem diameter, days grain filling periods, width, length. Furthermore, improvement through appropriate is revealed by existence significant differences between number superior inferior majority examined suggests governed more additive gene action might be successful achieving desired gains improvement.
